Port 48004 is not Available

During the installation, I'm getting an error that port 48004 is not available.

I checked ports with netstat and TcpView, 48004 is not in use.   What is the problem?

Port 48004 is the default port used by NuoDB Admin process to communicate with engine processes and SQL clients.  Currently, that default port can only be changed after the installation is complete (using the nuoadmin.conf file).   We suggest that you:

  1. Disable whichever process is currently using port 48004
  2. Install NuoDB and change the default agent port in the nuoadmin.conf file, more information can be found here.
  3. Restart the admin process to enforce the new port setting.
